This month, we are delighted to feature a new refurbishment project that we recently completed for Tina from Berkshire. Tina was inspired by the beautiful hot orange colour favoured by Lamborghini and featured on many of their classic cars. We found an exact match to Arancio, the Lamborghini paint code, and this proved to be the perfect colour for Tina’s Figgy.
As ever, we start our refurbishment projects under the bonnet. Tina’s Figaro was in pretty good condition but, as all Figaros are now at least 24 years old, every Figgy will benefit from a little extra love and attention. We replaced the brakes and fitted new suspension and steering components.
We also had a good look at the engine and refreshed a number of the gaskets and seals.
We then sanded down all of the car’s surfaces and prepared it for painting. Even though Tina selected a classic colour, we always use the most modern paint and anti-scratch lacquers and the result was a gorgeous orange with a gloss finish that will shine brightly for many years.
Tina was inspired by Lamborghini again when she choose the leather for the interior. We matched and sourced the original Lamborghini orange leather for the seats and dashboard top, we fitted a black carpet and black Figaro embossed overmats which created a striking colour scheme.
