Description

The ivory shaded interior of the Nissan Figaro is one of its most recognisable features and hosts a range of great retro design details. It is adorned with chrome, leather and vinyl to make the greatest visual impact and make you feel like you are truly driving a piece of history. To compliment this theme, the original Clarion Manufactured audio system has been designed in the same way with a retro look, equipped with a tuning dial and finished in ivory with chrome detailing.

The early ’90’s based technology has not stood the test of time with many units failing, cd’s skipping, the inability to tune to radio stations (due to the Japanese specific bandwidth) and the inability to be able to connect modern devices to the unit to listed to DAB radio or streaming from your smartphone. These fully remastered units are now a huge upgrade using the latest retrofit technology to allow a huge host of features to be used within the original casing meaning this is a perfect solution for those who would like this new technology whilst keeping the original retro appearance.

We offer 2 different levels of refurbishment as listed below. The stereos are sold on exchange only. If you do not have a unit to exchange please contact us directly. You also have the option to send your unit prior to arrival of the new one or pay a £125 (+vat) surcharge and send your unit on once the new one arrives. There is a choice of 3 different speakers or none at all the choice is yours.

Level 2:

The level 2 upgrade features a digital screen for easy readability, an upgraded cd player with MP3 and WMA file playback compatibility, a 3.5mm Jack input for playback of any music device with a headphone socket, a USB socket for playback of mass storage devices and high speed charging, iPhone and Android devices stream music/ data through high speed Bluetooth connectivity inc Bluetooth handsfree phone kit.

Speaker Options:

In Phase:

The In-Phase speakers are designed to be an entry level direct replacement speaker that are designed in the UK and offer great value with a sound quality that is a vast improvement over other entry level options. They are the same size as the originals so they fit in the same speaker pod with just the screw holes in a slightly different position, the original speaker pod is a plastic so drilling new holes for the mounting screws is very simple.

These speakers make a huge difference in sound and even more so if you already have a Clarion upgraded stereo.  They are 200w so can handle more volume and reproduce bass more effectively.

Kicker:

Here we have a pair of Kicker CS Series upgraded speakers for the Nissan Figaro. The new CS Series range from Kicker are a huge upgrade from the original paper coned items originally fitted in the Figaro. They are the same size as the originals so they fit in the same speaker pod with just the screw holes in a slightly different position, the original speaker pod is a plastic so drilling new holes for the mounting screws is very simple. Slight trimming of the speaker’s universal frame may be required.

The CS Series delivers remarkable performance and ultra-clean bass, utilizing a heavy-duty motor/magnet structure featuring EVC™ (Extended Voice Coil) technology not found in stock speakers. They use polypropylene cones with tough, ribbed, UV-treated surrounds for precise linear excursion and reliability.

The CS 4 x 6 Inch Coaxial Speakers are an excellent factory upgrade.

A stamped steel framework supports a rigid polypropylene cone for excellent audio quality. Using zero protrusion PEI tweeters ensures you get every bit of detail you need, without interfering with factory grilles.

These CS speakers work best with 50 watts of recommended power

Hertz:

These are a pair of Hertz speakers to upgrade the originals in a Nissan Figaro. These really do make a huge difference to the the 20+ year old paper cone originals. They are the same size as the originals so they fit in the same speaker pod with just the screw holes in a slightly different position, the original speaker pod is a plastic so drilling new holes for the mounting screws is very simple. Slight trimming of the speaker’s frame may be required.

This 2-way coax speaker is designed to satisfy specific installation and listening needs. The new Hertz features a neodymium magnet, PEI dome tweeter, built-in crossover, TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) surround and a copper mobile voice coil wound on conex former. An extremely light, yet stiff structure ensures linear frequency response and a high sensitivity level.
