The Nissan Figaro is equipped with a low compression, fuel injected turbocharged MA10ET 987cc 4 cylinder powerplant which is perfectly suited to the chassis. This model specific engine utilises lower compression pistons, as well a lower compression cylinder head to cope with the extra pressure created from the turbocharger. Over time, the engine will suffer wear and tear and a very common issue are the cylinders wearing from use. The cylinders have a tendency of ovalling at the top of the compression cycle causing burning oil, piston slap, loss of compression and loss of power.<\/p>\n

Fitting high quality, low compression 0.5mm oversize pistons requires a machinist to bore the cylinders 0.5mm larger than stock. This not only ensures a perfect compression seal for the new piston but also eliminates the oval cylinder that causes the main issues in an older engine.<\/span><\/p>\n
