Case Study: A Fabulous Figaro for a famous Philanthopist

In this month’s case study, we are delighted to feature a Figaro commissioned by the wonderful American philanthropist, Caroline Heinz-Youness.

Caroline is a political campaigner, contributor and activist for human rights, and she is on the board of Directors for the World Childhood Foundation, the charity founded by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, whose work is aimed at helping the most marginalised children in the world.

Caroline Heinz-Youness contacted us about commissioning a very special pillar-box red Figaro. We started with a specially sourced import from Japan; a Figgy in high grade condition with less than 50,000 miles on the clock. Caroline chose a full re-spray inside and out and we carried out all of the preparation and painting ourselves, so we could be sure all the bodywork was sound and the paintwork was perfect.

(Sadly, we do see Figs which have been re-sprayed to cover up a flaw or an accident repair which later breaks through again.)

Caroline chose the best Italian leather to cover her seats and worked closely with us throughout the design – even choosing the perforated leather and colour of the thread on the steering wheel!

We were very pleased with the results of our labour, and we still use her Figgy as a great demonstration of striking colour change with an immaculate finish. The fantastic pillar-box red is a dramatic look and suits its very bold and outstanding owner.

We know Caroline was really pleased with our hard work and, to show her appreciation, she bought us a lovely present – a very welcome, warming, Nespresso coffee machine! Thanks again, Caroline!

We still service Caroline’s Figaro and it comes back in as immaculate condition as when it was first finished. Not sure whether it’s Caroline or the Figaro Shop who are most proud of this beautiful, highly distinctive Figaro. Look out for a very special car!
