We love this story because it’s right at the heart of what owning a Figgy is all about.
The fabulous James bought this lovely Figaro for his wife Kate’s 50th birthday. He approached us in late December 2014 and, after the usual consultations, he placed his order. In January, he visited again to finalise the exact specification of the vehicle – inside and out.
James examined our extensive choice of stunning leather samples and picked a great contrasting blue. He decided to tweak the original design slightly with some piped headrests but, overall, he opted for a popular and very classic Figaro look.
The Figgy may be a classic design but there’s no reason not to take advantage of all of the latest toys and creature comforts. James chose a Bluetooth/DAB radio system and also opted for heated seats, which are fast becoming our most popular upgrade. We also fitted an engine immobiliser and central locking for added security and ease of use.
As always, the car went through our rigorous mechanical overhaul. All of the suspension, brakes, steering system, engine, and air condition systems were fully renewed. We provided an itemised list of every part changed for his records because quality Figaros are also an investment. The vehicle exterior was stripped down to a shell, lovingly repainted and then rebuilt with all new chrome.
We were delighted with the results when we finished the project but that was nothing compared to the pride and pleasure of watching Kate’s reaction when she came to collect the car. “Over the moon” may be an overused phrase but it perfectly summed up her reaction!
