Okay so this might be an awful pun but actually we wanted to highlight Figaro TYRES this month because we’ve been seeing something rather alarming in the last few months.
Most people are aware that they need to check the tread wear on the tyre and are dutifully inserting a 10 pence into the tyres grooves to check that there is enough tread left etc. What many Figaro owners are failing to recognise is the age of the tyre is also important.
Many Figgy tyres crack or perish on the side of the tyre wall and as the weather finally warms up, hot tarmac will increase the risk of a worn and perished tyre blowing up whilst you are driving.
