Nissan Figaro Alternator – Remanufactured

The Nissan Figaro is equipped with a 50amp alternator to run electrical systems when the vehicle is running and keep the battery conditioned and at full charge. The load placed on a alternator will vary with how much electrical demand is placed on the system. For instance, running the car with no lights on, no fans or audio will require a very small amount of electrical charge to sustain the operation of the engine but when electical load is placed on the system by having the electrical equipment switched on, the alternator then has to output as much as efficiently possible to support this load just like a generator. Spun by the main auxillary crank pulley via a belt, the alternator, like any other rotating component, can fail over time causing the system to not be able to supply sufficient charge to support the load placed on it. Common indications of alternator failure are:

Battery warning light illumated when engine is running
Very dim or flickering lights
Rotational bearing noises from the unit
Alternator getting extremely hot
Battery not charging sufficiently
