Description

The Nissan Figaro is designed as a front wheel drive chassis with independent front suspension. Mated to the front wheel hubs are the driveshafts which are propelled by the factory fitted 3 speed automatic gearbox.

In order for the driveshafts to be able to rotate the wheel hub while steering and actuating over uneven road surfaces, the drive shafts are equipped with C.V joints. Constant Velocity joints are designed to be able to transmit power to the wheels no matter how much the vehicle is turning or driving over bumps. The CV joints are protected by a rubber boot that holds special CV grease to ensure the joints are lubricated and cooled for a long life span. Over time, the CV boots may perish and will require removal of the outer cv joint to replace the boot. The cv joint is retained using a cv joint clip that can be easily damaged. These small but important clips can get damaged when removing the outer cv joint to replace a split or perished boot and we replace these where needed when undertaking cv joint removal. OEM quality and keep firm and reliable retention of the outer cv joint. One needed per side.
