Description

The cooling system of the Nissan Figaro is controlled by a thermostat. The thermostat is designed to open as a predetermined temperature to allow the flow of water around the entire engines’ cooling system to regulate and maintain the perfect operating temperature of the engine itself and is located within the main thermostat housing on the side of the engine. The thermostat is sealed to the main thermostat housing using a top housing. This 3 bolt shaped top is designed to not only hold and seal the thermostat in place using a Thermostat Gasket  but also connect to the top radiator hose of the vehicle. The cooling system of the Nissan Figaro is an extremely important system to maintain and over time, this top housing can corrode causing leaks which in turn can cause overheating and engine failures if left unchecked.
