Nissan Figaro Fuel Pump / Tank O ring

As the Nissan Figaro gets older, wear and tear on critical components become an issue and start to fail. One issue that seems to be quite apparent as the vehicle ages is the smell of fuel inside and outside the cabin.

The fuel pump assembly, located in the top of the fuel tank, is sealed using a large nitrile O ring. Over time, this O ring perishes and can cause fuel vapour to escape the tank causing a smell of fuel both inside and outside the cabin. We always recommend checking and replacing this seal when changing the aging fuel pump.
