The Nissan Figaro, being a vehicle that was solely designed for sale in Japan, was equipped with a catalytic converter to ensure exhaust emissions were catalysed to reduce harmful output from the engine. Due to its year of manufacture in the early 90’s, the technology of catalytic converters was still being slowly developed and as such, the converters were prone to failure from blocking, breaking, shrinking and inefficiency  Here at The Figaro Shop, we stock good used units to replace your failed item.

Due to their age, over-temp sensors at the base of the converter may be damaged (this will not affect the running of the vehicle and the over-temp bulb in the dash cluster can be removed) and snapped/missing studs at the base of the converters are common. These can be drilled out by a competent technician or DIY mechanic and replaced with an m8 stud if needed. Heat shields may be included but are not always present on used items.
