The Nissan Figaro is equipped as standard with an Air Conditioning system which, when working at its very best, is an efficient and perfectly matched system for the Nissan Figaros’ interior. Over time and due to the age of the vehicle, the A/C system may begin to break down and fail causing an inoperative system, heat or poor cooling efficiency. When replacing either a compressor or condenser, it is recommended to also replace the receiver/drier in the a/c system to ensure the highest efficiency. The Nissan Figaro drier is an extremely robust and reliable unit but as the vehicle is over 30 years old and the use of r134a gas recommended, a replacement will ensure the best performance of the A/C system.

Receiver/driers contain a material called desiccant. The desiccant is used to absorb moisture (water) that may have gotten inside the A/C system during manufacture, assembly or service. Moisture can get into the A/C components from humidity in the air. This is the “drier” function of the receiver/drier. The assembly also has a second purpose of acting as a temporary storage container for oil and refrigerant when neither are needed for system operation (such as during periods of low cooling demand).

The Nissan Figaro Receiver Drier is a direct replacement for the original but manufactured to modern standards and comes equipped with all the correct threads to fit to the high pressure side of the A/C system including a fitting from the pressure switch.
