Nissan Figaro Bonnet Stay Grommet

The Nissan Figaro employs the use of a manual bonnet stay which, when not in use, is designed to be clipped back to the structure of the vehicle using a specially shaped retention clip. In order for the bonnet stay to rotate in the body, it is fitted into the wing area using a specific sized plastic grommet t hold it in place and allow you to raise and lower the rod. Over time, this clip can become brittle and break causing the bonnet stay to rattle and become less effective in retaining the bonnet in the upright position.
