Maintaining your Nissan Pao, BE-1 or Micra is paramount in ensuring reliability and a long lifespan of the 4 cylinder  MA10 engine. Timing belts are a serviceable item that should be replaced every 35,000 miles or 5 years (whichever is sooner). Fitting a high quality cambelt is extremely important and the item we offer is of the highest quality and comes with a tensioner bearing included which we recommend is changed at the same time. The tensioner bearing runs on the back of the timing belt and ensures smooth running of the belt at the correct tension.

Unlike the Nissan Figaro, the Pao, BE-1 and Micra usually use a square toothed timing belt and water pump. Please ensure this is checked before ordering. This is for the MA10 1.0l engine ONLY

The water pump is also driven by the timing belt and it is good practice to change this too every 5 years to ensure the cooling system is working at its very best.
