Nissan Figaro Thrust Washers – MA10ET

As the Nissan Figaro ages, mechanical repairs are innevitable and when rebuilding the 987cc MA10ET turbocharged engine, ensuring all shells, bearings and washers are inspected and replaced is paramount for a reliable overhaul. As well as crank and conrod bearings, the Nissan Figaro also has replaceable thrust washers. These washers are designed to govern “end float” which is the lateral movement of the crank shaft as it rotates. Although the washers suffer very little wear, it is important to inspect them and replace them if needed.
