The Nissan Figaro utilises a fixed rear beam suspension setup on the rear and this is supported by 4 lateral arms. Each arm is equipped with a rubber bush to isolate suspension actuation, allow for smooth and quiet operation and absorb harsh and uneven road surfaces. The bushes originally fitted by Nissan are manufactured of a very soft rubber, and over time, the bushes deteriorate causing play, rear axle/suspension wobble and has been described as a “jelly” like feeling to the rear of the car.

When changing the bushes or complete arms, it is recommended to also renew the hardware retaining the arms to the rear axle and chassis. The correct length and diameter bolt is imperative for the safe operation of the rear arms. There are 8 bolts in total for the complete rear axle and come complete with matching nyloc nuts.
